In 10 months flap we have to call GE service twice.!!

We bought complete range of GE appliances when we remodel our kitchen. Everything is fine after 10-11 months except this hood is giving us problem.Hood itself is fine in doing it's job but to me it looks like one part is having problem.!!That part is a flap which prevents air from coming back through vent.The knob holding this flap is very thin so it's wear down very fast because of thin material which comes in friction when it opens and close.Because of this issue we have to stop cooking with strong smell.!!Even replacement also broke with same issue so it motivates to aware people who knows what to accept.
